The Single Action Ballester-Molina Pistol
The Ballester-Molina is a Single Action semi-automatic pistol originated in Argentina and manufactured by Hispano Argentina de Automotives SA Company. It was produced since 1938 for the purpose of providing Argentinean military and police with a cheaper alternative to the Colt 1927 pistol model, another licensed copy of the American Colt M1911 A1 pistol. Since it is similar to the Colt M1911 A1, it also uses a short recoil operation and locked breech system. The manual safety is mounted on the frame and locks the slide and hammer. Caliber used for this pistol is .45 ACP. It also has 7-round magazine capacity. It weighs 1075 grams when empty and has a barrel length of 127mm.
Safety tip: If you have purchased a used handgun, have it checked first by a professional gunsmith before using it. Only use it when the gunsmith says it is okay to use it and always carry it with a proper holster all the time.
